Student ‘Twitters’ his way out of Egyptian jail – CNN.com
Although most of us use Twitter for much more trivial ends, that doesn’t bother me anymore after reading this article. There are people using Twitter and blogs for much more important things, but if it were not for the more trivial based mass appeal of the Twitter network it would not have been such an effective tool. This is an inspiring story of the power of the iInternet to connect us, and that human instinct to be connected to other like minded people. I’m sure this is a huge motivator for all the people who have worked to help Twitter become what it is today – they most definitely have something to be proud of.
It’s inspiring to see Twitter being used for change in ways that really matter. I hope that Mohammed Maree is safe and freed very soon.

My wife recently wrote the post Twitter for Dummies (at the link below). I’ll have to tell her about this as yet another good use for the tool.
