Developing wrinkles is a natural and inevitable process, but it is possible to prevent them. To
slow down the aging of your skin, a dermatologist shares the 3 essential habits to
incorporate into your daily routine.
Whether we have oily, combination, or dry skin, the appearance of wrinkles is unavoidable. They are a natural sign of the passage of time, gradually developing on different parts of our bodies, especially on the face. Wrinkles around the eyes, on the forehead, between the eyebrows, or around the lips are a part of the natural aging process that we all face.
There are various remedies to minimize or eliminate them, including treatments with hyaluronic acid and, in more extreme cases, injections.
Without a doubt, the appearance of wrinkles is inevitable, but it is possible to prevent and slow down their formation. While there is no magic formula to achieve this, there are certain daily habits that can make a significant difference. To that end, Dr. Chris Tomassian, a dermatologist, has shared a short video on his TikTok account, in which he outlines the 3 essential habits for slowing down the aging process of the skin.
The habits to adopt to slow down the appearance of wrinkles on the face.

Did you know that the appearance of wrinkles can be slowed down by adopting a few good habits in your daily life? There’s no need for complicated routines, endless massages, or a special diet to achieve this. It’s actually quite simple.
Dr. Chris Tomassian recommends three things:
Protecting your skin :
UV rays are the number one enemy of our skin. They damage it deeply, making it more fragile and accelerating the aging process, not to mention the risk of cancer. To prevent this, the dermatologist recommends protecting your skin daily with sunscreen (in both summer and winter!)
Using retinol :
Did you know that the appearance of wrinkles can be slowed down by adopting a few good habits? No complicated gestures, endless massages or special diets required. One of the best habits to adopt is to use retinol. This powerful anti-aging ingredient helps with cell renewal, tightens and firms the skin, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. According to Dr. Chris Tomassian, it’s best to start using retinol as a preventive measure from the age of 25.
Getting enough sleep :
Another key habit recommended by the doctor is to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night. Why? Because sleep has many benefits for our body, and also for our skin! During rest, the skin can focus on producing elastin and collagen, which makes it more supple and elastic, and helps to fight against the appearance of wrinkles.
