Ingredients

1 ¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons orange peel, grated
1 egg
1 ¾ cup sugar
½ cup butter
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup milk

Sauce::

1 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice

Direction

  1. Beat the sugar and butter with an electric mixer, until the texture becomes creamy.
  2. Add the eggs and continue to beat, until the eggs are combined with the mixture.
  3. In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix the ingredients well.
  4. Mix the flour mixture with the egg mixture in addition to the milk, mix well.
  5. Heat the oven to 180°C.
  6. Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle it with a little flour.
  7. Pour the mixture into the mold and put it in the oven. Bake the mold until the cake is done.
  8. While the cake is baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan on the fire, add orange juice, sugar and lemon juice, stir the mixture well until it boils and the texture becomes thick.
  9. Remove the sauce from the heat and leave it to cool slightly.
  10. After the cake is finished baking, leave it to cool and transfer it to a serving plate. Pour the sauce directly on top and serve.
  11. You can also put it inside the cake as in the picture.
